CIT Camp $475.00 July 4 - 24 15 - 17 years CIT Camp prepares teens to become camp counselors. It is a three week program that intentionally develops both outdoor skills and counselling skills. During the first week of the CIT camp the participants will take part in a "Skills Camp." Because safety is our top priority, skill development is critical as CITs prepare to become counselors. Skills Camp is designed to meet this need by bringing together qualified instructors and willing staff for a week of training in canoeing, archery, survival skills and first aid. The second and third weeks of camp will give the CITs the opportunities to further develop their new skills as they help to lead some of our camp adventures. Please be aware that CIT program is a staff formation program and there is an application process required. Spaces are limited and preference is given to LIT program graduates. Please contact us for more information. |
Wilderness Survival Camp $340.00 Aug 1 - 7 11 to 17 years Wilderness Survival Camp is designed to give you the skills and confidence required to respond appropriately in a survival situation, all the while building cooperation and self-confidence. During this camp, you will be given hands-on instruction building emergency shelters, navigation, fire building, water purification, cooking on a fire and safely gathering and sampling wild edible plants. |
| Lessons learned in the outdoors lead to lifelong recreation skills, a strong environmental ethic, and well-developed leadership techniques. |
